My great aunt had “pet” squirrel for years. She didn’t keep him indoors, though he was allowed in. More like a daily stop by to say hello to her. Sit in her lap for a bit get’n some pet’n then go on about his day elsewhere. She was in her nineties and he was very gentle with her. Nature does show us her soft side at times!
