Sorry you got bit. Some areas are better than others with their wildlife. Shoot, the only 'natural' time I've ever met a turtle was on a bike path and it was rather offended that I thought it was a rock and slowed down to maneuver around em. Head pulls back and nuclear-orange goo shoots out of its "shoulders." It worked, in that I promptly left it alone and wasn't interested in getting whatever biological agent it was producing on me or my bike.
