Haven't been bitten by one but I have been climbed upon by a few. Those claws are for climbing, and it **-hurts-** Plus with how fast they move, a squirrel can get on top of your head in about two blinks.and then hold on... Sorry you got bit. Some areas are better than others with their wildlife. Shoot, the only 'natural' time I've ever met a turtle was on a bike path and it was rather offended that I thought it was a rock and slowed down to maneuver around em. Head pulls back and nuclear-orange goo shoots out of its "shoulders." It worked, in that I promptly left it alone and wasn't interested in getting whatever biological agent it was producing on me or my bike.
