I've looked for years and this is the first model I'm having high hopes for: Segway Navimow i215 LiDAR https://navimow.com/products/navimow-i2-lidar-robot-lawn-mower?variant=45014721724553

The wife is all kinds of giddy, so that's nice.

Wanted a robot mower for years but the ones where you've got to put wires into your lawn never appealed to me. I knew there'd be a superior solution one day. There's some neat DIY projects out there, but these days I just want to buy a tool that does its job and does it well. About the only thing a DIY robot does better is giving you the troubleshooting knowledge you inevitably gain along the way. It's certainly way more expensive if you value your time.

If you use my affiliate link above to buy a truckload of these, I get 3 shekels worth of the goyslop of my choice.

I bought Lymow one plus. It's not much more than the one that you bought really and mows a massively sized lawn. 12 acres a week!! It also has real lawn mower blades on it instead of little tiny razor blades. I hope your lawn is not bigger than a postage stamp. i will be making some posts about mine soon. It will be neat to compare and contrast the two. Mine is dumb as a box of hammers though and takes a lot of training.

The whole property is about .25 acres (little over 1000m²) and the lawn part is less than half of that.

I looked at the Lymow and must say I love it, especially the tracks. Put a mini minigun on this bad boy. https://www.vipertecknives.com/blogs/all-tactical/hand-held-mini-gun-throws-a-ton-of-lead-down-range-in-seconds-video

Camouflage or full on Wehrmacht paint job sound like a good idea too.

I'll probably post about my experience on here after mine has seen a couple weeks of service.

Yea. I'm still training mine and haven't posted about it yet. Sometimes I love it. Sometimes I want to shoot it.

@MrFadedGlory mentioned a robot mower to me a while ago. He might have some thoughts on it. I too have been interested in getting one of these things eventually though I have considered DIYing it (as if I have free time and not a hundred other projects to work on).

Eh, I'll stick to my zero-turn. My roosters would disassemble that thing with extreme prejudice.

The wife was the main driver, after her surgery she's not as fit as she used to be and it should take some of the work load away.

She's usually home during the day and often times can't resist the urge to beautify the lawn before I get there. Myself, I'm not too keen on mowing either, although that usually gives me about two hours to listen to my podcasts.

I'll be satisfied if the robot does 90% of the work and there's only some manual trimming required. Only cats and chiggums in our yard, so hopefully not a problem.

Three shekels! Oy vey! How could I possibly afford to give you two shekels! I'll go broke giving you a whole shekel, I will!

Marketing genius right there. You'll go far!

I knew a guy who had one. It was really impressive how neat it kept the lawn. Also, it was very quiet, he set it to cut at night.

Not sure if you have to pay extra for silent models, because he had the $$$.

They say it's 59 dB(A), let's see what it actually sounds like after it arrives.
