My folks grew a few varieties back in the day. Mostly Burpee Big Boy Hybrid and Early Girls, with 25% of the plants from a few other varieties like Roma.. The Big Boys didn't can well, the flesh wasn't meaty like a Roma and tended to break down when cooked.
