We have great success with letting our birds do their own thing. We just had a duck show up from the woods with 26 ducklings trailing behind her.

Pictured are a muscovy duck and a nigger goose of some kind sharing a nest. They take turns getting off for food and water. Muscovies and geese have similar incubation times, so we could have some geese who think they are ducks.
