At least he found some way to make use of an old phone. The cracked screen or weakened battery gets all of them. They become obsolete faster than laptops.
I watched this vid the other day. It seems like a great idea until you learn that postmarketOS has an abysmal hardware compatibly list. I think my old Galaxy S21+ would be great for this but there's no support for Galaxy phone past the S5.
Maybe in a few years? But by then I'll be able to get strix point minis for cheap.
