Most Americans do not know that England declared war on German (not the reverse) ostensibly to "protect" Poland.. Then when you ask them why, if war was declared to protect Germany did the allies also not fight Germanys ally, the USSR? Not only did the USSR invade Poland, but while they were buddies with Germany they also invaded Finland (and kept half the country) Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bessarabia and a good chunk of Romania.
But no one said a damned thing about it. Only when the USSR was preparing to attack a weakened Germany and planning on sweeping all of Western Europe did the Germans attack the USSR after approx 10-15 pleas for peace that Britain rejected. After all of those deaths in a war started to defend Poland, ended with Britain and the US LITERALLY giving Poland to the USSR at Yalta which was followed by giving China to the Communists.(Source, "Freedom Betrayed" by former US President Hoover)
Once you've clued people into the facts, the big glaring question any rational person is left with is this: "Why did England start WW2?"
