Every culture has stories about fairies/gnomes/etc that live underground.
Every culture has stories about fairies/gnomes/etc that live underground.
Many cultures have origin stories of "coming from a hole in the ground". The ancient prehistory migration theories all have major flaws and conflicting evidence.
Aliens is a stupid idea. Why would a species with the technological capabilities to traverse the stars come here, unless to conquer for resources (in which case they would do so), or because they are refugees(in which case they would come en masse). It makes no sense.
BUT, imagine, an event that drove humanoids underground, with some finding new routes out onto land and some staying or becoming trapped in vast cavern complexes. A oxygen producing bioluminescent algae or lichen (which exist) would provide food, extremely low light, and breathable atmosphere. Now imagine those humans evolving genetically and technologically in that setting.
They would lose hair and pigmentation. They would develop thicker skin and smaller frames with larger heads to fit through tight spaces and tunnels. They would develop larger eyes to capture as much light as possible. They would develop technologies based on magnetism and hovering as they would not have a sky for flight.
Now imagine that parallel civilization rediscovering the upper world. They would be hesitant and cautious. They would monitor us while trying to keep themselves hidden in fear of attack or retaliation. They would begin researching the upper world in secret to learn more about its species and environment. They would have small and seemingly alien technology best suited for their underground cave and tunnel systems, not interplanetary travel.
Hollow earth is real. Aliens are mole people.
This sub is about everything pertaining to the myths, legends and scientific discoveries of hollow earth, and its fabled inner realms. If you stumble across something you find ludicrous in this sub, I invite you to challenge it. Or forcefully exhale through the nostrils, and carry on.
Only through challenging ones beliefs is it possible to gain new knowledge. And knowledge is power.
One might agree that the shape of our realm really and truly does not matter. We still have to live our lives.
But to ponder mysteries, that is stress relief..
