When they did this it was to infiltrate an enemy nigger camp and pose as blackies. I'm guessing the long pants meant they didn't have to black out their legs. In the ensuing battle I think there were about fifteen hundred dead blackies and a couple of dead Rhodesian's. Most of the blackies were shot by friendly fire in the complete chaos that was caused by a dozen or so White boys firing off rounds in the middle of the night at the enemy camp. My numbers are probably not on point but it was a lot of dead nogs by morning.
