Let's see here... * Judy Garland (Dorothy) - died from overdose of barbiturate at age 47 * Raymond Bolger (Scarecrow) - died from bladder cancer at age 83 * Bert Lahr (the Lion) - died of pneumonia at age 72 * Jack Haley (the Tin Man) - died from a heart attack at age 81 Of the four characters in that scene in the movie, only one died from cancer and it wasn't even a form of cancer typically associated with asbestos exposure. Really the only death in that list that is kind of horrific was Judy Garland's self-inflicted death. The others were more like common causes for men of old age in the decades past. I know what the meme is implying, but it just doesn't line up very well with the reality of what happened to them later in life.
