Yes that's true. There's no denying it. And let's say once the war started the propaganda was going strong and there's no doubt about it a lot of those pilots believed everything they were fighting for. But let's also remember they didn't have much choice. They were going to get drafted and they were going to fight me infantry in the trenches like they had seen their father's doing die in World War One and one of the main reasons people joined the Navy in the Air Force was they sure as hell weren't going to be trapped in those trenches. So you know it's not like if they said I'm not going to fly my plane today that they wouldn't have been sent to the trenches tomorrow.
