Not too long ago I read about Himmler getting heavily disappointed in performance of muslims in battle on the Eastern front. They would run away on the first sign of danger and abandon their comrades. He eventually sent them all to the rear to do logistics duty.
In that situation you take all allys you can get, but getting too friendly with muslims is always a mistake, no matter if they are White, brown or black.
