I also recently stumbled across a study of kindergartens that showed they were full of bacteria and viruses--more than in the average home-- but that they were in a dormant and in a harmless state. When disinfectants were used for cleaning, it killed most of the pathogens, but those that survived became active, and people started getting sick. Cleaning with cleaning products increased the danger from pathogens. So, wash hands with soap after you take a crap or whatever = yes, go around spraying and wiping everything = no.

Survival of the fittest refers to all things on Earth, including bacteria.

Interesting bit of history.

Lockdown does not work.

Oh it's working alright. Just not in the way it's being presented.

Thanks for this. I'm gonna show it to a couple smartass knowitall medical professionals in my family. I don't think it will matter, but I'll have some fun with it.

They'll just tell you the science changed or something.

Well, science is supposed to change... No, they are in a cult and say things like "I am the science!" Yeah, that aged well.

Isn't the purpose of lockdowns to slow spread, not prevent it? The idea is to not have everyone getting sick at once because it puts such a high load on medical facilities.

[–] 1 pt

If that was the case, we'd have one every year around flu season.

You can easily find breathless pearl clutching stories from years past about how the medical system is "overwhelmed" this time of year.

Of course they got sick, they weren't wearing dirty pieces of cloth on their faces.

Very enlightening, glad you posted it.

Note how they did not control the environment which the people slept and lived in, which could have shown a different perspective.

[–] 1 pt

It was controlled by dint of being completely isolated. It doesn't really matter when person A sleeps in the same room as person B - if all 17 of you are the only ones for miles, you're all in close proximity to one another most of the day.

They specifically mentioned how their sleeping places could get wet, for example

Being wet doesn't really mean anything. You're not supposed to be able to get a virus if there are no viruses to get. By accepted definitions, any viruses that these people would get should have been gotten long before 17 weeks. That's what the article is trying to say - you can isolate yourself from mankind in an inhospitable environment, and it still doesn't help. Isolating yourself in house but still going to work, to the store, etc. is going to be just the other side of worthless.
