I still like this think this was sabotaged to bring down Big Airship.
Think about how cool it would be to take an airship cruise. Instead of being out to sea, you'd be flying over mountains, and docking at highrises like the Empire State Building (en.m.wikipedia.org) (which was designed to be an airship port).

Honestly, I don't think it would be a mode of transportation.
I don't see airships as a fast means of travel...
More of a luxury type deal.
Instead of flying from point A to point B. You take a "cruise" from point A though Z. Site seeing, stopping in different cities, and just all around enjoying the ride.
