And the vikings knew about it 500 years before that.

The Vatican even had a bishop for Vinland around that time period.

Doesn't matter who knew about it first.

Vinland was a failed colonization attempt. The Vikings quit.

If anyone else "knew" about North America then they did a piss poor job of claiming it for their own, and publishing the news to mainland Europe and the Middle East that they had discovered another hemisphere.

Columbus and the Spaniards stayed in the Bahamas and made it work. They explored additional islands and went to Central America and stayed.

Columbus deserves the credit. These Communists, faggots and race guilters can try and take away his legacy because "hE wuZ a sLaVeR" but it doesn't fuckin; matter. Columbus and the Spaniards STAYED.

I'm off to watch 1492: Conquest of Paradise, just to spite the "cancel Columbus" crowd.

There is Roman pottery off the coast of Brazil. They (((shut it down))).

the spaniards said they discovered multiple oriental shipwrecks. it is doubtless that romans, chinks and many others made it to the americas after being blown severely off course by a storm or similar, but going there and making it back is a different feat altogether. roman pottery isn't proof of this.
