It's good to remind ourselves that the Canadians are not the innocent little polite fellows we've long perceived them to be. They actually have separated kids from families and then raped and murdered the kids, in ways eerily reminiscent of but somehow even worse than what the religious authorities did to poor Irish kids between 1850-1950.
