More so than the leftist media reporting on the panic, I am addressing all the kids & teens who were pushed further into atheism because of their parents actions & superstition, their willingness to trust their congregation's heads over their own children, as well as the transgressions of figures like pastors. I have some experience with the JW, so I've seen my share of two-faced manipulators pretending to be 'shepherds'. I have no doubt there was valid concerns at that point, of course. But from what I've seen, a lot of it was not directed at the right people and the vast majority of Christians did not have an inkling of what really motivated things like SRA. For example the few Christians that were aware of MK Ultra were looking for "Nazis," rather than researching the actual culprits and where it all originated from before projects like MK Ultra. (Like the video you posted)... It never occurs to these people that the Nazi scientists were used as scapegoats and that's why the papers were released with their names left unredacted where as other names were redacted. Every sin that has been committed by the group in question be scapegoated or 'scapechickened' onto their adversaries. The best way to bring an institution, that opposes them, down is to infiltrate it and corrupt it from within, use the positions of power to abuse those that they utterly despise, and who place their trust in them. It's very interesting how there was serial killer after serial killer, and they were basically glorified by how frequently they were brought up in the media. I imagine that had quite a serious effect on the trust in communities and families, after the doubt, of people just being sporadically, randomly born as psychopaths, was introduced.
