The story of Jesus is a blatant allegory of the realization of the absolute nature of reality. The absolute nature of reality is realized via the cessation and emergence of Karma (Volition) or else "death" and "rebirth" of the self (ego). Only via the cessation of Karma (Volition) can the absolute be realized, and hence the purpose and reason for life in the first place. Because "reality" is self-contained, and because self-containment entails self processing, and because self-processing entails self-realization, and because self-realization entails (the cessation of) Karma (Volition), life exists.
