Pretty interesting podcast
Apparently in 1857 1/2 of the entire British military was stationed in Ireland, with the sole objective to confiscate all food. 5.2 million ppl starved to death in 6 years and the Church of England helped the crown declare it a failed potato crop. ie. potato famine.... And there’s mass graves in half the farmers fields in the country and the church actively works to ban monuments on the graves to this day. And the Irish fertility rate has gone down ever since, as if genetic. There was 13million Irish before the Holodamor and there’s still only 4 million without migrants.
