I have heard of this theory before, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Really from my research showed there was a cataclysmic event that happened. The younger dryas event, or even a super volcano eruption... and yes USA has one of them, its called Yellowstone.

Even to pole shifts (this is actually proven that this happens) can mess this up, or even a asteroid impact, extreme climate change.... to even a sun discharge

Something certainly happened I agree, and it definitely was much further back than when the mahabarata was written down. Yet I trust our ancestors far more than I do modern academia or media. Apparently there is some evidence for this stuff happening in radiation levels found in skeletons in harappa and what not, but it all comes down to dating the events and if the methods used are accurate.

Possible. But if you are a montheist that believes there is only one god, that that God changes his name from time to time and that he incarnates on earth from time to time (like a christian) then one could see how Krishna, the incarnation of Vishnu at the time who was at the center of the mahabarata epic (who had to talk the bad guys into fighting him and changed his form into shiva before declaring "I have become death, the destroyer of worlds") actually did destroy the world by fire.

Assuming ofc that the mahabarata is true or based on truth.

Yes supposedly the skeletons in harappa and one of the other indus valley towns have radiation 50 times higher than normal. As well as there being a bunch glass in the region with no minerals that would normally be associated with an extraterrestrial impact, which I supposedly is the only natural thing that can cause that type of glass.
