Speak for yourself, but I know that a large portion of Anglos absolutely hate hearing the French language. It might have something to do with the fact that they had been forced to learn it in school for several years. But I agree that Quebec needs to get its fiscal affairs in order and stop leeching off the Canadian taxpayer.

I have no doubt that that's true. Hearing a shitskin speaking durka durka in my land, a nigger speaking ebonics, or a chink speaking ching chong - It'll infuriate anyone who doesn't see diversity as out greatest asset.

And because of that, hearing anyone speak French will trigger the same response.

Maybe that's why Canada is in the state it is in. Because we spent more than a century being told to accept different cultures, and to celebrate our differences. Now we completely understand that it was all bullshit. And have hair trigger responses and reactions to it.

White french Canadians are not the enemy. But they will naturally and instinctively trigger the exact same reaction as the enemy does.

White Anglos are also deeply hated by the Quebecois majority. If you move to Quebec, the locals will barely tolerate you and will refuse to associate with you, even if you learn to speak French fluently. Ask any White Canadian that has lived and worked in Quebec, and they will likely tell you the same thing.

But I agree with your general premise. Canada has been too accepting of foreigners to the detriment of its majority inhabitants.

Yeah, it goes both ways.

Frenchies hearing English in their land will trigger the same reaction as hearing durka durka, or ching chong. Just like hearing hearing French in the rest of Canada.

>White Anglos are also deeply hated by the Quebecois majority...... even if you learn to speak French fluently.

Some people say that as long as others assimilate, it's ok. But no one completely assimilates. And there's no guarantee on how much others will assimilate. And once there's enough outsiders, they probably won't stay assimilated. It's understandable why the Frenchies would be like that.
