I’m mostly Italian and Irish with a little Turk but identify as a WASP. I notice that the ethnicities who adhere to Catholicism are the most degenerate. It is like they need the extra rituals, structure and guilt or they’ll backslide into their vile, filthy habits. So, I can see why there may have been disdain for the Irish. They have big hearts, but they also have hard heads.
