Russian history is a necessary topic to study in order to understand what is happening to the rest of the world, including America.
I've typed it out below:
>"The main thing is what goes on up there in the government concerning the conservation of monuments, restoration projects, etc. It’s a question of protocol, for how they select contractors. Who selects contractors? Of course, not the best firm with the most experienced professionals, but the opposite. Some random firm, which pays bribe on time."
>"It’s no mistake, but a calculated and flagrant effort by the government to destroy the people’s National Heritage.
All that is done today on this memorial, on the Red Liage. All is done not by the means of government funds, but by charitable donations from good willing citizens and volunteers."
>"In Norway, there are 28 Stave Churches left. They protect them, like the apple of their eye. Our country is much bigger, memorial sites used to be much more. Much more than in Norway. But here is left just us much. And we protect them so poorly, preserve them so poorly. If we lose all of them; in my opinion, we will lose ourselves. Moreover, no Russian will be as such. Because it is so much “ours.” Well, if we voluntarily renounce from it, then, hello goodbye! There won’t be an “us!”"
It's chocked full of good parts. I really recommend watching it; it's both wholesome and haunting.
Thank you to for the channel recommendation.
