I don’t know, but it is an interesting idea. Nationalism to build a sense of community and to stop the international corporations from raping us and then a strong sense of social responsibility to one’s people and ones home.
Too bad nobody’s ever tried anything like this.
Edit; the more I think about this, the more I think that it doesn’t sound too practical. You would need a nation with a sense of unified purpose and a strong centralized leadership with massive public support. You would have to convince the citizens that it was necessary to forgo some small luxuries for the betterment of their people and nation. Sounds pretty crazy.
