It’s important to check a plurality of sources and focus on the original languages in manuscript form during in depth study. The Tischendorf, Scrivener, and Stephanus texts as a woven set are far more reliable than any English version, including KJV, which itself was fraught with errors.
All English translations also lose key grammar points in the phrasing structure that clarify and sharpen meanings. For example the four different class conditions of “if” in the Koine Greek add important context for presumption of fact (1st class), presumption of falsehood (2nd class), probability (3rd class), and improbability (4th class).
You do not understand the importance of the Textus Receptus. The miracle that 2 sets of texts from 2 sides of the Roman Empire that had no access to one another for over a 1000 years. Eastern and Western empires were inaccessible to free flow of anything for 1000 years.
When the Eastern/Byzantine empire fell, the texts came to be analyzed - East vs. West.. And they matched, the word did not dissolve. What are the odds on that one?
That is the miracle, The textus Receptus is the Received Text and has standing as the Word of God.
God giving his word to the Christians by this miracle is proof that they are his chosen people!
You don’t have the authority to assert it was a “miracle,” so iI reject your premise. “Textus Receptus” is also a misnomer, a label applied by man to the combined manuscripts. These are not the “original texts” as written by the authors, but also copies of the originals, themselves with their own differences among them for any number of legitimate, and sometimes illegitimate, reasons.
The key isn’t in the adoption of one “master text” that was “authorized” by a flawed man or a team of flawed men, but instead to weigh the manuscripts in plurality and look for cohesion within the writings in humility and at the leading of the Holy Spirit, as the authors would themselves agree.
To believe in the “textus receptus” is to ascribe some divine wisdom to King James and his collective that supersedes our own today, and even becomes itself a form of idolatry by elevating the combined second-hand engravings of men, even those intended to pass along God’s truth, as somehow miraculous themselves, rather than the truth contained within the manuscripts.
I understand that most Men/women claim that the Word of God is Fallible, that we cannot and should not trust it. The implies that the Holy Spirit is an incompetent boob. He cannot even get a book written correctly.
Jehovah, who made EVERYTHING, cannot get a book written just as he wants? Or by whom he wants?
See the yew (no J sound) definitely doesn't want their old job given to another people. That's the reason for the gaslighting propaganda on the fallibility of the scriptures. The yew really wants his old job back, fulfilling 2 Thessalonians 2.. The yew, the son of perdition, the Anti christ wants to sit in the temple of god and claim their old job back...
After the yew denied Jesus is the Christ, and became Anti Christ (1 John 2:22-23) The written Word was collected and translated by the people that were not God's people, but are Now the Kingdom of God. And the word was written into English and then translated into every language and given to every people upon the face of the earth.
Yes the scriptures as we have them can be trusted. Man is not more powerful that the holy spirit.
