It's crazy to think that all references to "The Eye of Africa" and Atlantis are scrubbed off Wikipedia. Even on the that lists possible locations there is no mention of this place.
My bet is because the local village that still use Atlantis's wells today in the Eye of Africa are white, which would ruin the whole "We Wuz Kangz" idea for Africa and Atlantis.
if the records of the pharohs are true, one young Pharaoh stood with his father walking down a long hall, as they passed seemingly bare walls, faint carvings of kings became more visible with each passing step until they reached the carving with the pharoh's name carved in stone. He turned to his son, turned him back toward the entrance and said "what do you see when you look back at the door?" "A really long hallway" he replied "Wrong! This is the long march of time, and the name of every king that has ever ruled over the nile streaching back before atlantis colonized these lands and built the pyramids to demonstrate just how strong their nation was comapred to ours." the pharoh replied. "What happened to atlantis father? do we still serve them?" the boy replied. "They lost a great battle no kingdom could defeat, a great flood far larger than the nile swallowed their cities, and they came to our kingdom groveling for food and shelter." the rest of the tale was sandblasted off the wall.
I guess this story has been sandblasted from history for a while.
it was on a history channel egypt special back in the 80's, prefaced with how historical claims must be taken with scepticism and plenty of salt. It went on to say how honey was used in wounds suffered during combat to heal up their soldiers from otherwise fatal wounds. This was how egpyt became a regional power, it had battlefield medicine and significantly more veterans surviving each battle.
Today, surgeons are dipping their surgical blades in honey before each incision, and have demonstrated a 90% reduction in post op infections compared to standard sterilization procedures. 20 years prior, it can considered weird and stupid to try using honey on an open wound, but it kills bacteria, and the body breaks it down with acid, which becomes instant cell fuel to turbo charge the healing process and repair the injury faster.
