Interesting take. If you just put her in a box with enough holes in it to breathe, she'd be dead in about 3 days. Instead, they intermittently fill a water dish and give her just enough water to prolong her suffering, along with her being able to beg small amounts of food from outsiders. She suffers much more and much longer this way and eventually dies anyway. What a terrible way to go.
