Its actually disturbing to me that a generation of human beings obsesses with ink and celluloid images instead of the storylines that were the original reason for those drawings, and the ROOT of those storylines which was understanding the human condition and the core of self.

Anime is just animation made by Japanese. There is little PC control or censorship in their market aside from blurring genitals, which means it can be nightmarishly degenerate or it can just be politically controversial. They are still focused on profit though, so they usually produce whatever consistently sells (which is where the otakus/ neets come in).
