Apparently several power rangers have been caught doing a lot of law-breaking over the years, including one that intentionally murdered his roommate with a sword and only got 6 years for "voluntary manslaughter", and another that murdered 3 people including tying a couple to a boat anchor on a yacht and throwing them overboard.
In this particular case, Yasutomo Ihara was a stuntman who wore different costumes on several of the shows, so likely wore multiple colors of ranger costumes, enemy costumes, as well as costumes on other shows like Kamen Rider. Chances are high that he did wear a black ranger costume at one time or another, but not only that color...sadly - that would have been awesome had he been just the black ranger.

Regarding the sword murder: Ricardo Medina played the Red Lion Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force series from 2002 to 2003. In 2015 he stabbed his roommate Josh Sutter in the abdomen with a sword after arguing about how Medina's girlfriend had parked her car. He initially claimed self defense and was released before he was re-arrested. After first pleading not guilty, he later took a plea deal to avoid a murder charge with a sentence of 26 years to life and chose to instead plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter. He was finally sentenced for only 6 years.

How do you know so much about power rangers? I mean I watched it as a kid too, but all I remember is that the pink ranger made my weiner feel funny.
I know practically nothing about power rangers. I only watched a few episodes back in the early (maybe mid) 90s when it started to be a thing in the USA. I think that character in the computer with the retard shifting face is called Zoltard or something. That's kind of funny.
The original Voltron animated series was what I loved as a kid and I was pissed at how cheap and generic of a knock-off of it power rangers was when it came out and didn't waste my time with it. Now I know from those articles I linked that when the power rangers first started airing in the USA, apparently it was mostly just existing scenes from a Japanese series of a different name but with English dubbing and maybe some added footage.
I was just curious if the guy actually did play the black ranger and just did a search for "power ranger rob homes japan" and then hit archive on a few of the stories from the first page of results. I then saw other power ranger actors did stuff too in the other reuslts so archived those as well. After quickly skimming to get the gist of the stories, I wrote out a summary and was just going to post my findings for others in case they were curious too.
Reading the pic, to searching, to archiving links, to writing a summary and formatting my post was maybe 6-8 minutes of time. Most of that was spent waiting for the pages to be archived. Then I saw someone show curiosity about it just as I was about to post my findings due to my own curiosity.

Oh, i knew that Skylar Deleon pos was a child actor did not know it was as a power ranger. lol. That murder case was a real shit bag crime, remember some crime show had a special on it - plus he was implicated in committing a previous murder of a dude he had earlier met in jail, out in the desert for $50 000 that deleon conned the guy into fronting for a sham drug deal . Plus His girl - friend who was pregnant at the time of the murders was offered complete immunity if she became a prosecution witness as she was involved in getting the prospective boat sellers/ owners agreeing to a further meet up (in which they were killed out at sea, after being forced/ tortured to sign over ownership of the boat and power of attorney of their business account) bc of the gf playing the sympathy card of being pregnant. She refused being a witness and be let off with no jail time and ended up getting her ass life without parole , lmao ..... Good fcking riddance
