In reading history books that are 100, 120 years old and older, I have noticed that the reality they represent is completely different from that described in more recent books. I come to the conclusion that for 80 years only books favoring jews or those depicting the heroes of European culture in a bad light have been allowed to print. Even "The Great Gatsby" was to be called "Trimachio", like a character in an ancient play about an arrogant jew who had made a fortune with swindlers. The book would not have come out if the title had not been changed.

Seems to be a good observation. I knew history was being re-written. But on this scale is almost unbelievable. I think next books I read about history, make sure the publishing date are before the UN was created. ‘54 was it?
Be interesting to see the contrast.
