It is estimated that 8 million Mesoamericans died at the hand of Spanish conquistadores. From starvation through to burning staple crops, literally salting the earth, poisoning rivers, instigating tribal warfare amongst factions, chemical and biological warfare (incidentally through influenza and intentionally with smallpox). The Aztec empire alone in the 15ce was estimated to be approximately 5million strong, Inca 12million. The combined Spanish Empire with all-new world colonies was merely 9million (6.8 million in Spain). Most territories were turned into pasture land for grazing domestic animals for export. The land, resources, people, language, culture, and religion of the native Amerindian race were completely raped and murdered to near the point of extinction. By sheer testament to their resolve, nations like Mexico don't outnumber us 1000+ to 1 today because of what happened in the 1400s. The mixing with subhumans came centuries later, few hegemonies in history came close to expunging sub-humans as the Spanish did.
