Keep in mind import food prices have always been high in Alaska compared to the continental US, and being on an island helps to increase the price again. These 1994 prices were "high" compared to continental US prices in 1994.

McDicks combos have always been slightly more than the hourly minimum wage. $5 / hour minimum wage? Combo was $5.65 including tax.

Whenever poor people demand an increase to minimum wage, they are always the ones who get fucked the most because now everyone has to raise prices to pay for the higher wages.

Worse than the price increases is the decrease in serving size while at the same time, the quality of the food has deteriorated (replacing beef with trafficked human meat or whatever shit they use now).
