I used to be part of the falun gong spiritual movement. It's believed that man has walked this earth for millions of years. We keep destroying our civilization every 5000 or 10,000 years. When you think about it, if a natural calamity wiped out most of mankind, it would only take 1000 years for anything built to erode away or revert back to it's natural state. Unless it was built in stone.
