Yeah, that's a given. Basically everyone is Vitamin D deficient due to us mostly staying inside all of the time now.

From the post:

I supplement and I'm STILL slightly deficient. Getting my levels up changed my life though. I basically sleep walked through my 20s.

If you can get a good D3 supplement (usually the ones sold by a naturopath will be great quality and highly absorbed by the body THAT IS A HUGE KEY FACTOR if you only absorb 20% of it, it is not good quality) then you can easily take 50,000-100,000 IUs per day and it would still take months to get out a deficit position.

Vitamin D3 is a scam (unbekoming.substack.com).

Vitamin D is a theoretical hormone. It is theorized that our bodies produce vitamin D in response to sunlight exposure. We have never isolated vitamin D in the human body, or any animal body. We created a chemical (cholecalciferol) that we believe has the same effect as this theorized hormone and gave it a name.

When you get your vitamin D levels checked they are measuring something your body creates from cholecalciferol, not your actual vitamin D levels. There is no way to measure vitamin D because, again, it’s only theoretical.

Cholecalciferol has been shown to help with some acute ailments though; like viral infections, cancer, and heart disease. I treat it like a medication.

If you want the positive effects of sunlight go outside.
