My wife had it since she was a teen. When she was in her late 40s she started getting arthritis in her hands so her doc put her on 30 days of HCQ 200 x2 daily along with zinc. That was about 20 years ago and she hasn't had a single outbreak of herpes since. Also her arthritis has been gone since then. So there's been cures they just can't make any money off of those.

Now that you mention it, I haven't had a cold sore since I started taking zinc regularly. I used to get them when I was very sick or got sunburned, but both have happened since I started on zinc and not a one.
