My friends were mostly online on IRC back in highschool. I don't have many friends but apparently I'm approachable. When I got out with my bf to do anything, usually older people will strike up a conversation. Post office, vet, doctor's office. Blows my bf's mind because he has resting murder face so it's rare he gets anything but the man to man nod. I find maintaining in person relationships stressful. I have trouble wanting to hang out. Online is easy. They can avoid me if they don't want to talk and I can avoid them. If we have social needs that match up then we chat a bit.
