I still hang out with some friends from high school and a few I made after, but online friends are definitely the norm nowadays. Being a musician definitely helps get me out of the house and stay somewhat social too.

How can I be lonely when I have so much shitposting to do on Poal?

Can't even remember the last time I had a friend that wasn't behind a screen. High school maybe?

My friends were mostly online on IRC back in highschool.

I don't have many friends but apparently I'm approachable. When I got out with my bf to do anything, usually older people will strike up a conversation. Post office, vet, doctor's office. Blows my bf's mind because he has resting murder face so it's rare he gets anything but the man to man nod.

I find maintaining in person relationships stressful. I have trouble wanting to hang out. Online is easy. They can avoid me if they don't want to talk and I can avoid them. If we have social needs that match up then we chat a bit.

Yup. I'm fairly unlikeable in person. It's why I avoid real contact usually

Aside from family, all my close friends have moved away. If I didn't talk to them online I never would.

I don't really feel the need to find new local friends in this shit lib infested area.
