I get it about 4-5 times a year due to the nature of of my job. It's one of those funky illnesses that you WILL get regardless, but the more often you get it, the less harsh it is.
That sucks. I feel for you. I was so dehydrated that I stumbled to the grocery store to get Pedialyte because the guy I was with at the time wouldn't get me any. I had a barf bowl balanced between my legs on my scooter. Barfed, ran in, got the stuff, and managed to not barf in the store. It was a miracle. The poopin had stopped the day before because there was nothing left.
That's what happens if you get it only once a year. By your 4th time, it's an annoying bout of poop and a upset tummy you can control with tums or pepto. The FIRST time I got it, when I started, ooff, that was...fun.
