I know. Last time I went to a doctor quack Licensed Drug Dealer I could have walked out with a flu shot, a pneumonia shot, some other shot I can't remember, dick pills, pain pills, anti-depressant pills, cholesterol pills, and blood pressure pills.
The only doctor I've seen since then (March 2020) is a tele-med because I'm blessed with shit-tier skin that breaks out every so often and there's an old school cream that works well for controlling that.
Low level, longer term course of topical antibiotics could help the skin.

She was totally not interested in giving me medications but encouraged me to examine my environment for problems first. It worked.
That’s great if it worked. If it reoccurs though, could be an infection.
