Anthrax vaccines have been around for decades. Initially it was developed for USDA livestock/meat inspectors. Then when the Gulf wars came along with the WMD boogie man, all troops and contractors that could possibly sent to the middle east were required to take a 6-shot series of anthrax vaccines. Some retired admiral or general got rich convincing the Pentagon it was needed.
