An absolutely crazy idea- though it seems like another bad excuse to pump Africans full of Ivermectin. I wonder why? Maybe for the negative fertility effects?
Ivermectin is likely the safest drug ever discovered, even safer than baby aspirin. Literally billions of doses have been dispensed since it was approved for humans in 1987, mostly in tropical areas like Africa and India. The article has issues. I simply found the link between ivermectin and killing mosquitoes interesting.
I don't believe that either. The entire population of subtropical Africa has been on IVM since 1987. Mosquitoes should be extinct there by now.
