I still see people -- mostly older women -- wandering around with face masks on in the stores. It's all I can do to refrain from being impolite to them and telling them what fools they are. They are probably afraid. The mask is their security blanket, their sign of conformity and compliance. Look what good little sheep we are, we're wearing masks even when we don't have to. All you can see above the edges of the masks are their frightened little eyes.
