Asked my buddy, he said it does break the blood brain barrier. When you use it, it's best you just got out of the shower so you are clean and nothing is being carried with it. Apply it with as little waste as possible. Let it air dry. It might be a little itchy, you may smell like garlic. That's his advice to people wondering what it's like.
