I do 24 -36 hours. I try to hit the 36 mark but don't beat myself up if I only get to 24 hours.
My bf is a food addict and I can get him to do 24 hours with me occasionally but he says my inner anorexic is showing. **
I've only managed to go about 33hrs. At that point I feel the effects of low blood glucose. Heart rate is elevated, very jittery, and sweating.. I feel like at that point, if I don't eat something right away, then I won't have the energy to eat something before too much more time passes.
The goal is to not eat sugar. The body has to manage with stored fat to compensate. It also helps with recalibrating the insulin receptors.
I don't. I went 'keto' years and years ago trying to fix my autoimmune issues. I struggle with food because of my autoimmune crap but sugar is defintely out
I guess I'm lucky because my immune system is quite strong and I pretty much never get sick (I catch a cold once a year, and it only lasts a couple days), got good teeth (I avoid Sodium Fluoride), and only need 4 hours sleep on average.
