Titanium dioxide can potentially cause cancer as well.
Titanium dioxide can potentially cause cancer as well.
In the 1950s there were lots of above ground nuclear tests being done which put an enormous amount of radionuclides into the environment (air, land and water). These radionuclides are always left off the possible cause list for cancers. I'd sooner blame the radioactive materials that are now everywhere in the environment and inside our bodies than worry about some white pigment. Does this not concern you?
No, I said it can potentially cause cancer not that it does.
Aren't they also using that as a pill coating for vitamins and stuff? That's vile.
And (((M&Ms))) and many other similar can(cer)dies. And that's not diving into the cancer-causing, toxic, petroleum-based "food coloring" in them.

Toxicology of food dyes - PubMed https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23026007/ https://archive.today/JBImj "Food dyes, synthesized originally from coal tar and now petroleum, have long been controversial because of safety concerns. Many dyes have been banned because of their adverse effects on laboratory animals or inadequate testing."
Four Incredibly Harmful Effects Artificial Dyes Have On Our Health https://www.foodnerdinc.com/blogs/food-for-thought/artificial-food-coloring-no-thank-you https://archive.today/dEmOh
- Increases inflammation and disrupts the functioning of the immune system.
- Contain cancer-causing, toxic contaminants.
- May cause cancerous tumor development. Some of the most commonly used food dyes are linked to many different forms of cancer.
- Causes hypersensitivity, especially in children.
Artificial food dyes have also been shown to:
- Negatively impact the functioning of the liver and other vital organs
- Interfere with the digestive enzymes that our bodies produce to help properly break down the food that we eat
- Increase intestinal permeability aka "leaky gut"
- Linked to respiratory disorders, such as asthma and bronchitis
- Negatively impact nerve cell development
Why the fuck is it so hard to find pumpkin seeds that are not treated with titanium dioxide?
Looks like they do it to enhance germination rates and make them saline resistant. Are these seeds for sowing or marketed for consumption (like toasted pumpkin seeds.) Either way, just grow the pumpkins and then eat the seeds from them.
