I've started fasting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So it comes to something like 36 hours or so. It becomes hard for me late at night but at that point I just tell myself I have a couple hours before bed anyway and just to deal.
I started it hoping to encourage my bf to do it as well. I he's got a different set of health problems from me but the fasting should help the both of us in the long run. He usually ends up snacking on meat and cheese in the evening but it seems to be helping even with the 'cheat' for him. His blood sugar has improved a bit and it's only been 3 weeks and he's dropped 10 pounds. I have dropped 5 but my weight is a lot more stubborn and I don't have as far to go as he does.
Meat and cheese are great snacks. Hard boiled eggs and mushroom are also low calorie high nutrient
Yeah, it's why I don't harass him about it. I told him no carbs on fasting days and he is good with it.
