I first found out about this after searching for anxiety supplements. In particular, to relax the mind at bedtime. Then I’ve read about how it’s “nootropic” because it can work with caffeine to keep the jolt from caffeine while mitigating the “jitters.”

I bought a bag of it that came with a 200 mg scoop. Supposedly, a proper dose is 200mg-400mg. I tried 200mg in my homemade pre workout yesterday and tried to pay attention to myself. I forgot to take some at bed time. I’m gonna to keep paying attention to how I feel and see if there’s anything to it for me.

I’m curious if any of you use it and what’s been your experience.

I've been using it for years to help with sleep, and it's working great form me. I only take it when I need it. I also have it with me at work to take if things get out of hand and to keep myself out of jail.

I take a dose of 200mg per day and I'm at around 220 pounds weight.

It had a good synergetic effect with caffeine for me, felt more alert and clearer in the mind, but only for like the first 1-2 months. I've bought theanine several times afterwards but it just does not do anything at all to me anymore.

Did you take a substantial break, try again, and nothing?

Yes. Off and on over a few years. I tried taking higher doses still nothing.
