California has that asshole aedis mosquito now. The damned skeeter wasn't here until last year when it first exploded in out of control numbers. I was so glad that the long winter killed it off, only to learn this morning that it's back with infestation maps showing it's everywhere again and info says the eggs can be dormant for years waiting for the right conditions to hatch. So yeah. Hottest months of the year and you can't wear shorts in California because the damned skeeter bites legs in the daytime and you can't see it and it doesn't hum a tune to tell you it's there. It likes to reproduce in coffee maker trays and refrigerator water dispensers and tops of house plants or plant saucers below a pot or pet water dishes. Any little water and it lays eggs.
