And then they will demand pay when they're sick at home, and then everyone will be "sick" regularly to get this pay. Just avoid restaurants.

Yeah, you should cook for yourself as often as possible. However, I see no reason that any business should not allow a employee to accrue at least a small amount of sick leave, even if its just 4-5 days a year.

Less sick employees mean less sick customers. I don't know about you but I have only gotten sick at a restaurant a tiny hand full of times and I have never gone back to any of them after getting sick once.
