Salt is so important! I did some crazy diet 20 years ago cutting out meat, dairy, soy, gluten, oil, and salt. I about lost my mind. Did it for a few years. Went to something like keto/paleo after that and added sea/mineral type salts back in. Just having salt and oil back made me able to think and function again.

I'm autoimmune and didn't know it at the time and was trying to fix myself every way I could not knowing the true cause. It was the worst diet I could have chosen. The first day I went back to salt, I actually craved salt water. It was amazing how quickly I started feeling better.

I've played with my diet quite a lot as well. Took me a long time (decades) to figure out every diet 'expert' is either a scammers, on gear, or is just anecdotal bc that diet is what works for him.

Glad you came back to the salt life. In my elementary broscience thoughts, I imagine since we are mostly water, salt would be more conducive to help with sending electrical signals where they need to go within our body and brain.

Yeah, I know what works for me doesn't for my bf diet-wise. Even my mom reacts differently to different diets than I do. I think most of us have to try all kinds of stuff to see what we feel best on. Unfortunately, I've found a lot of things I'm sensitive or outright allergic to.
